Exploring the most beautiful San Francisco locations with Sarah and Pierre.
Sarah and Pierre reached out to me to document their Engagement and also to celebrate their recent Wedding ceremony. Together we planed to explore a few different locations in the San Francisco Bay Area which included the Legion of Honor and Mt Tamalpais.
I have always loved starting sessions at the Legion of honor Especially in the Spring and Fall. Since the Legion of honor closes at 5:15 in the Spring I ask my couples to meet me there close to 5 so that we can utilize the courtyard without to many visitors around and also so that parking is more available as well. Once the gates close we can easily utilize the beautiful outside garden and architecture that is open even after the museum closes.
The sweeping lawn and beautiful architecture around of the wall surrounding the museum is reminiscent of the Italian countryside and is elegant and classy while also being simple and beautiful.
Couples have brought picnics here before for Elopements and we have enjoyed many special moments together taking in the picturesque landscape and the Golden Gate Bridge beyond.
Once we finished exploring the Legion of honor we convoyed over to Mt Tamalpais State Park to witness the beautiful and sweeping landscape that overlooked the San Francisco Bay.
Arriving about an hour and half before sunset we were able to explore one of the many varied and beautiful trails that Mt Tam has to offer. I noticed, way out on the point a beautiful point that would be perfect for gorgeous and sweeping views. We hiked along a well worn path across the fields and along the sides of the mountain, forging a small stream and taking in the breathtaking beauty of the valley below.
Together we stumbled slightly over rocks along a deer path that we hoped led to our destination. Traversing along the mountain side we rounded a corner to the most beautiful sweeping vista point on the mountain side. Looking down, we realized we were not on the main path, laughed and journeyed onward.
Once we rounded the corner and came upon the main path, our destination came into full view. Now on the much more worn and clarified path we meandered along the trail and marvled at the beautiful landscape.
